Nirjala Ekadashi, also known as Pandava Bhima Ekadashi, is the most significant and austere among all 24 Ekadashis in the Hindu calendar. Observed during the Shukla Paksha of Jyeshtha month, this fast is kept without water (Nir-jala), promising the merits of all other Ekadashis combined.

How to Celebrate & Vrat Vidhi
The observance begins from sunrise on Ekadashi and lasts until sunrise the following day (Dwadashi).
- Sankalp: Wake up during Brahma Muhurat and take a pledge to observe the fast with total devotion.
- Worship: Offer prayers to Lord Vishnu. Use yellow flowers, seasonal fruits, and Tulsi leaves (plucked a day prior).
- Abstinence: Do not consume food or even a single drop of water throughout the 24-hour period.
- Charity: Donating earthen pots filled with water (Kalash), fans, umbrellas, and clothes to the needy is highly meritorious in Dubai's heat.
What to Do (Dos)
- Recite the Vishnu Sahasranama or "Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya."
- Listen to the Nirjala Ekadashi Vrat Katha.
- Practice Jagran (staying awake) on Tuesday night to sing bhajans.
- Perform Deep Daan (lighting lamps) in the evening.
What Not to Do (Don’ts)
- Avoid Grains: Even those not keeping the full "Nirjala" fast should strictly avoid rice and grains.
- No Water: For the strict fast, water intake is prohibited until Parana.
- Behavior: Avoid anger, lying, or criticizing others.
- Avoid Plucking Tulsi: Do not pluck Tulsi leaves on the day of Ekadashi.
